As some of you may be aware, our lease on the property is expiring at the end of the year. We’ve run all the numbers, and after quite a lot of back and forth have come to the decision not to renew our lease.

Here is the schedule for winding down our operations:

* 11/23: If there is something in the store that you would like that isn’t nailed down, it’s probably for sale. You’re welcome to come in at any time and pay upfront or pay a deposit to reserve anything you see in the store.
* 11/25: We will be closed for Thanksgiving.
* 11/30: This is the last day to bring in equipment for PC repair. Repair services will be unavailable starting in December.
* 12/4: We will stop restocking snacks, soda, etc. on this date. When we’re out, we’re out.
* 12/13: This will be the last Wavedash Weekly.
* 12/17: This will be the last day for regular PC gaming.
* 12/18: Any reserved items will be available for pickup, and the rest of the PCs and equipment in the store will be packed up and ready to sell.
* 12/27: Any equipment submitted for repair must be picked up by this date or it will be sent to the State of Michigan unclaimed property division.
* 12/30: Last day to contact us in person or via phone for any final inquiries, questions, or concerns.

This has been a very difficult decision to make, and definitely not one that has been made lightly. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Closing down for the time being will allow us to get our financial ducks in a row and potentially reopen in the future even stronger with lessons learned from our previous venture, and play from ahead instead of the current situation COVID and global finances have put us in where we are fighting from behind. As those who play Valorant would say, we’re taking an eco round so that we can come back and crush it next time. We’re not currently able to give any timelines on a reopening or guarantee it will be in the same place, but we’ll let you know where and when.

I’d like to thank everyone who stopped by, booked a party, had a computer repair, partnered with us, worked for us, or even those who just came by and told us our place was awesome. Your encouraging words kept us going through a difficult three years, and we wouldn’t have made it as far as we have without you. You’ve all been awesome and we hope to see you again in an even more epic and amazing venue!
